Elaboration: 12 months of ageing "sur lie" with "batonnage" in French oak barrels.
Colour: Dark Cherry Red
Nose: Luscious red fruit (mulberry, cherry), fine cocoa with hints of spices (pepper, clove).
Mouth: Generous, fleshy, dry and vital acidity. Sensations of coffee notes, gingerbread and cocoa with bitter chocolate. Creamy and balsamic finish. Lengthy on the palate with a very ellegant terroir.
Climatology: A very cold spring, with temperatures almost every morning -8. The outbreak was late March. Late April, with snow in the surrounding Sierras. The Flowering took place in the last week of May. The harvest began in September and was completed in mid-October.
